Day 12 - Wed 13/1/2010

As mentioned previously in the blog, each leader has 2 days on duty and luckily has 2 days off. My 2nd day off is today and as such, I sadly can't report first hand what happened.

Some of the patrols needed to finish Cirque du Scout and the funny photos were taken by the Venturers and Rovers running the activity.

However, I do understand that Australiana Village had some excitement today when a certain 'Phillip Hynek" AKA Swordfish from our Troop was put in the gallows, stocks, whips and all. Sentenced to the stocks and quite a few lashings... his offence... "Bad Jokes!"

I would love to thank those who contributed to his arrest and am sure that Phillip is practicing his finest jokes for the next Australian Jamboree. I am sure also that Phillip may be more wary about any future Troop Leader meetings sprung on him in unusual places by our contingent welfare leader. Well Done Tony!

To give you an idea of what leaders do on their day off... I went Ten Pin Bowling, watched a movie at a friends house, went out with the fiance for a nice meal and then returned to camp as the scouts are being sent to bed.

Signing out for now,

Adam M
