-Troop 1032 Blog-Day 11 - Tues 12/1/2010 WATER ACTIVITIES - Offsite Wake up 6m... Duty Patrol is up and collecting food. We are off to Water Activities today at Chowder Bay located near Mosman. The day is overcast to start with but ends up being a scorcher of a summers day. The activity site is split into different activity bases. We arrived a little late, no fault of ours today - the trip took longer than expected. But we got they in time to walk on to a ferry for our hour long harbour cruise.
The after the cruise we had lunch and then cooled off with a swim.
Some had an attempt of running the inflatable gauntlet into the water. A large blowup pontoon with obstacles and leaders trying to knock you off with water.
For most scouts the opportunity to play with friends, other scouts and to tackle their leaders in the water seemed to great and a friendly water fight ensued.
After almost drowning me and rubbing sand into the little hair I have left...Michelle. The Scouts gave sailing and canoeing a go and found it to be quite enjoyable.
The Scenic Walk followed Sailing / Canoeing and was interesting and led by a guide whom we found very informative. At the end of Water Activities driving through the peak hour traffic on a hot coach, with many scouts not having much energy left, sleep followed.
The nights entertainment at the Main Arena was comedy night... many rumours circulated about Hamish & Andy making an appearance but half of them were started by me and weren't true. hehe. The comedy night wasn't bad at all but after battling in the water in the heat and not having enough sleep, I decided to call it a night and make my way back to camp a little early. Signing out for now, Adam M Day 14 - 15/1/2010 Previous Days
